This second friction workshop will include round robin tests and calibration activities, including:
An inter-laboratory comparison of high-speed devices (LFC, SFC…)
- Physical measurements and assessment of all equipment participating in the workshop
- As-arrived measurements on different test surfaces with all high-speed equipment at their respective operating speeds
- Unified calibration on all participating high-speed devices
- Post-calibration measurements on all test surfaces with high-speed measurement equipment
- Uncertainty analysis of all device’s measurements
- Calculation of established correlation to EFI for all devices
- Calculation of correlations amongst devices
An inter-laboratory comparison of Stationary devices (DFTester, T2GO, British Pendulum and CTMeter)
- For DFT devices:
- Includes a calibration by manufacturer with the following check points:
- Run DFT to confirm working properlu prior calibration
- Motor drive (motor wear)
- Replacement of MU Spring
- Contact pressure
- Laboratory-established DFTester verification plates
